Girl Child Motivational Poetry Workshop /Introduction
All female motivational poetry workshop it’s a Zimbabwean project for young female aspiring writers and poets. The project is looking at motivating, inspiring, seeking talent realization and identification among young female poets/writers whose voices need to be balanced with those of peers in various poetry projects in Zimbabwe it’s clear that women/female voices are represented. The project will facilitate interrogation between new generation published poets and female poets in schools and further facilitate interaction between female poets and female arts/culture reporters from media and cultural institutions. The engagement of the project with Chiedza Child Care Centre, US Embassy Public Affairs and other stakeholders is a sign of involving cultural relations, girl child to education, media and creativity.

Ø preparing 25 students to identify their talents and become serious writers/poets
Ø coverage /publication of the best poems in The Daily News poetry corner
Ø hold a Food For Thought seminar at the US Embassy Public Affairs Section in order to further promote the voice of the girl child in her creativity and also promote dialogue, media and cultural relations.
Ø creating interaction among poets, media, diplomats and educationists.
Ø interaction with other poets and writers abroad and the region, creating a new generation revolution of female poets.

WORKSHOP - the workshop will touch on various issues pertaining to the development of the girl child’s creativity, motivation, confidence building, networking and talent identification. The facilitators are people with a record of performances, publishing and other creative events.
Logistics Meetings - to be done between the producer, facilitators, partnership organization, the media institutions, Chiedza Child Care Centre and prize sponsors.
Seminar/Food for Thought- the seminar will touch on issues that pertain to the motivation, creativity and talent identification of the girl child. Speakers are to be drawn from the facilitation team, children’s organizations, the US Embassy and other gender project students.
Press Conferences/Launch- these will be done together with a renowned female journalist as a media moderator as well as with female arts reporters from mainstream print media and electronic media.
Prize Giving Ceremony - the prizes and publication are to be given in order to further motivate and give confidence to the girl child in pursuit of identifying their talents and creativity.

Twenty to twenty-five students are to be selected from schools that are related and involved with Chiedza Child Care Centre activities. The female students should possess the maximum desire for reading, interest in literary arts, performance poetry and writing. Their workshop facilitators are highly acclaimed new generation female poets, who have endured the spell of hardship and have experienced the strength of creativity in Zimbabwe and abroad. The guest poet from Kenya is a renowned poetry arts manager, promoter and performance poet. She is a curator of various workshops on poetry and fiction in Kenya,
The Zimbabwean media its known for its diversity in its coverage of stories and arts events, the media institutions to be involved include The Daily News, Zimbojam, The Herald, The Daily Mail, The Sunday Mail, The H-metro, Kwayedza, Newsday and The Standard, and other various journals around the world.
